Frame Restoration & Repair

If your favorite frame has lost a bit of its luster, has a few little damaged spots on it, or has tarnished, you don’t have to throw it away. Instead, bring it into The Right Angle, and our experts will put their 50 years of combined experience to work. We can restore your older frames to their former glory, making them look brand new.

What Can We Restore?

When it comes to frame restoration, there’s not much we can’t fix. Our team has years of experience repairing frames, and we’ve seen it all. If your frame is tarnished or dull, we have a number of different cleaners that we can use to restore it shine without damaging or discoloring it. For frames that have flaking or peeling paint, we can match the color. If your frame is fabric or some other texture, we’ll match that texture and design.

Scratches, dents, and nicks can also be repaired. Often, this means filling the wood and then painting or covering the filler material so that it matches the rest of the frame. In many cases, you won’t even be able to tell where the damage was once your team is finished with the frame.

For ornate frames that have broken pieces, it’s more of a challenge. However, we will do our best to recreate the damaged pieces so that the frame looks complete.

Which Frames Should You Restore?

If you’re not certain if you should have a frame restored or simply replaced, there are a few questions you can ask.

Is the frame expensive? If you purchased the frame and paid a good amount for it, it may be worth restoring it instead of replacing it. Often, the restoration process is much less costly than buying a new frame.

Does the frame have any special significance? If it does, don’t toss it away until you’ve brought it in for us to look at. We may be able to restore it to perfect condition.

Is the frame a family heirloom or something you know has been passed down? Even if you don’t feel a particular attachment to the frame, it’s still something that has been in your family for years. You may want to pass it on to your children or grandchildren along with the story of the frame.

If you have a frame you’d like to repair or restore instead of replace, bring it in and discuss what you’d like the frame to look like. We will do our best to restore your frame to its original condition.
